Welcome, Ben Vinegar

Just last week, we posted about reaching a milestone in traffic. As this grows, Disqus increasingly becomes an ever-present piece of people’s web experiences. The installed comment system is what’s really exposed to millions of people as they browse their favorite blogs and sites. This embedded JavaScript has its own set of engineering challenges: we make sure it scales, performs fast, and we continue to push new features that are fun to use but not distractingly so.

I’m happy to welcome Ben Vinegar as our newest front-end engineer focusing on the embedded comment system. Ben joins us here in San francisco all the way from Canada where he was previously at Freshbooks. We’re very excited to have Ben on our team and working on some cool new features to evolve Disqus.
