Moderate Multiple Disqus Communities With This Useful Gmail Filter

Posted by Tony Hue on February 03, 2015 • ... comments

Are you a moderator of multiple Disqus communities? Chances are you’re handling a fairly large volume of new comments on a daily basis. Perhaps you check the Disqus Admin to monitor for recent comments or maybe you prefer email notifications of new comments.

In Gmail, I’ve created a filter that helps me easily sort and organize new comment notifications based on the specific community from which it originates. Here are the parameters:

Matches: from:(notifications@disqus.net) "A new comment was posted on <Site Name>" Gmail filters

You’ll end up with something that looks like this: Gmail labels

You could also leave out the option to have filtered messages skip your inbox.

It’s a small tweak but if you live in email as much as I do, this is a big time saver.

Something Powerful

Tell The Reader More

The headline and subheader tells us what you're offering, and the form header closes the deal. Over here you can explain why your offer is so great it's worth filling out a form for.

Remember:

  • Bullets are great
  • For spelling out benefits and
  • Turning visitors into leads.
